Hi im jaime and i want to become a web designer.

I am currently doing a course on web design and the institution that im doing it at is on break and i want to gain as much knowledge on the subject as possible. I want to focus on the development side of things so im looking to master HTML, XHTML, java, photoshop, Dreamweaver, CSS etc so is there anyway I could learn these for now and what are your guys advice on becoming a web designer?

Hello Jamie. I have a couple suggestions if you want to be good at development.

About designing: be sure to research human online behaviors so you can design your sites around them. I just wrote a reply to a member named eztrader in the Web Design Discussion forum. You might want to read what I wrote. Also, I have written an article about designing websites located on my site:

first of all i want to say that i am also a beginner in web designing.
U must know about the difference between software and languages. Dreamwaver is an software for making your web design coding very easy. it helps you to do nothing. one click makes your tags, hyperlinks, background images etc etc. in this software.

if you begin to learn the HTML, XHTML, JAVA than u need the books so u can easily understand the basic things of the web designing.
