I am not sure if this is the right place to post this prob.

I have dream weaver 8 installed,I can connect to server and downlad files from server when i am trying to edit those files dreamweaver shows an error message like.

The instruction at "0x5ad71531" referenced memory at "0x00000014" the memory could not be "read"

and it closes dreamweaver program.

Thanks in advance

Default Dreamweaver 8

I too use Dreamweaver 8.

You are editing the files on the server, is this correct?

Have you sucessfully completed this taks before?

If not, you may need to check you server settings and connection settings in Dreamweaver.

I would probably reinstall Dreamweaver if it continues to close on you.

Default Xp?

I found articles discussing this error. The funny thing is that this appears to be happening not only with Dreamweaver but IE and other various programs. The only thing that seems to be constant is that it is occuring on Windows XP. One of the articles stated that the problem could be related to Acrobat 7, when occurs in IE, and another said it could be the video driver. I am uncertain as to the validity of these reasons, but take your error message and do a google search, you will find much info that may lead you in the right direction.
