Default How can I lock a table size in a template?

I am somewhat new to Dreamweaver CS3 but I have a question about locking tables. I designed a page with Fireworks/Dreamweaver. I have converted the page in to a template and I have added a table to the center of the page. The table and its cells will contain the images and text that will be modified from time to time. Here is the problem. When you access the template and modify the text within the editable region it will expand the table if too much text is entered. When the table expands horizontally it pushes all the sliced images apart. Is there a way that I can lock the table to a specific size or do you know of another way to solve this (other than not entering too much text)?

Thanks,

James

Have you tried giving specific sizes to table properties?
Select the table look down at properties box u will get height and width field give specific sizes there and table will remain fixed.
